WASL operating card explained: what it is and why it expires

A WASL operating card is the registration credential that authorises a commercial transport activity in Saudi Arabia under the Transport General Authority (TGA). It links your operator, vehicles and drivers to the WASL platform, and it must be kept valid: when it lapses, your right to operate that activity lapses with it.

What the card actually authorises

WASL is the registration backbone for Saudi commercial transport. The operating card is the part that says this operator is permitted to run this activity. It sits alongside vehicle registration and approved tracking; together they make the fleet compliant on the platform.

Why expiry is a money problem, not a paperwork problem

An expired operating card is not a quiet administrative gap; it can mean trucks that cannot legally work. A single tipper idled for a week because a card lapsed is a week of revenue lost on an asset that still costs you depreciation, finance and a driver.
