Conciliation (Abu Dhabi transport violations)
Conciliation lets an Abu Dhabi transport violator pay 75% of the fine within one month, under Article 14 of Resolution 74/2021, settling the violation.
Conciliation (Arabic: التصالح) is the settlement mechanism in Abu Dhabi’s goods-transport regulation: under Article 14 of Resolution No. (74) of 2021, a violator who accepts conciliation pays 75% of the penalty within one month, and the violation is settled (checked August 2026).
Is conciliation the same as the “25% discount”?
Yes. Vendor blogs commonly describe a “25% discount if paid within 30 days” on Asateel-related fines; that is the Article 14 conciliation mechanism wearing marketing language, not a separate scheme. The regulation’s own framing is a settlement the violator opts into, not an automatic early-payment rebate, so read a vendor’s “discount” claim against the article text before budgeting for it.
What if the operator disputes the fine instead?
Article 15 of the same resolution gives a 60-day window to file a grievance against a penalty decision. The two paths pull in opposite directions: conciliation closes the matter at 75%, a grievance contests it, so an operator facing a large item, an overload fine at AED 700 per excess ton, for example, has a real decision to make within the first month.
The fine schedule, exemptions and both articles are walked through in Asateel fines and exemptions. Fleetric flags violations and expiry dates early precisely so this page stays theoretical.
