Geofence

A geofence is a virtual boundary drawn on a map around a place that matters: a construction site, a batching plant, a quarry, a customer gate. The telematics system logs every entry and exit, which turns a raw GPS stream into events a business can count.

Why does a construction fleet use geofences?

Three reasons, all of them numbers. Trip counting: entries at the quarry and exits at the site count loads per day per truck. Idle and queue time: time inside a gate geofence separates productive work from waiting. Billing evidence: an entry/exit log is proof a truck was on a customer’s site, useful when an invoice is disputed.
