Istimara
The Istimara (استمارة) is Saudi Arabia's vehicle registration card. Every vehicle a fleet runs in the Kingdom needs a valid one; renewal is generally tied to insurance and periodic inspection, and an expired card exposes the operator to fines and stopped trucks.
Istimara (استمارة) is the Saudi vehicle registration card: the document that keeps a specific vehicle legally registered to operate. For a commercial fleet it sits alongside WASL registration and the operating card: the Istimara covers the vehicle, WASL covers the transport activity.
What happens when an Istimara expires?
The truck is exposed to fines and cannot legally work until it is renewed, and a parked truck still carries its salary, insurance and depreciation. Renewal is generally tied to valid insurance and a periodic vehicle inspection; rules and amounts change, so verify the current requirements with the Saudi traffic authority.
Fleetric tracks Istimara, insurance and inspection expiry per vehicle, with reminders before they lapse, so a missed renewal never becomes a fine or an idle truck. See the compliance hub.
